How can i do this? (explanation inside)

Hi everyone

Again, sorry for the cryptic topic. I couldnt find a way to explain it with one sentence.

OK- i'm sure what i want to do is so simple, i'm gonna be calling myself stupid until the end of eternity for not coming up with this myslef, but i've been trying in every way possibe and still couldnt achieve any results. I also remember it was discussed in a thread long ago, but i couldnt find it.

I set up 2 audio clips. Clip A is dry and clip B has redux on it. I assign my QWERTY A key so that it srats clip A and B key so that it starts clip B. I set up the launch mode of A clip to "trigger". What i want clip B to do is play as long as i hold the B key, and when i release it, clip A starts playing again. I tried to do this with the "Gate" launch mode but it just stops the audio track from playing completely.

Any help will gladly be appriciated

I don't know if this is a good solution for you, but maybe try this:
set the clips to legato and follow action to next... so if you trigger clip b it will play until you release it and then go to the next clip which will be clip a...

tried it already. It doesnt work exactly as you say. Sure, it plays when i press the key, but it keeps playing after i release it and goes back to clip A according to the length i set in the follow actions time boxes. What i want is for clip A to start playing immidietly when i release key B.

basically you need to filter the noteoff event and map it to the other clip.

a sidechained gate would be a solution as well. set it up so clip B mutes clip A.
