How would I best aquire very old sounds from the early black & white days of radio and television broadcasts??

Where do I start??

In a nutshell, I was in partenrship with a so called friend who new his chords, after supporting him in his years of unemplyoment, he ended up swallowing all of his promises and left me stranded, and on top of that he selectively picked out some realy nice old time broadast samples from his miniture library compared to my large one..

I hope he gets a taste of the wrath karma unfolding.., in the meantime Im in search of some old time dirty sounds to color my pallete..

Any ideas where I can acumilate some??

BTW, I realy love that old time in one of the Live tutorials that sais "dont take it from us, try it yourself". That makes me smile.

If I need to find something old on the net I use the word "vintage" in my search query. "vintage radio broadcast audio" did bring up a couple of nice starting pages.

Another keyword could be "Old Time Radio"

We have a TV museum here in Los Angeles - they have just about every program made in their library. Perhaps look for something similar or contact them.

Boomish found a good way to do it and stay legal.....

They signed a license deal with an old advert agency that made a lot of
those old TV adverts for smoking and kitchen products.

With some creative thinking you can probably find old companies that are
no longer in the business and have a big archive of funny crap.
