Anyone tried these plugs? What do you think of them?

I used just the plug-ins, so I can't compare them. But they're smooth, silky and hot in my opinion. They don't make any cheap and unwanted hiss sound or some kind of digital clipping "named" saturation to emulate analog hardware. They're controlled and I see no hard CPU usage.

What I like for a change is the opurtunity to tweak some knobs and listen to what is happening instead of looking at at a graph and imagining what I should be hearing.

This is probably another strong characteristic of the analog domain that probably has been overlooked or taken for granted in the move to digital.

They're excellent IMO. Heard a lot of people say the SSL stuff are their favorite Waves plugins.

I've tried them on a mate's computer.

They're the only Waves plugins I'd consider buying.

the ssl eq is an amazing eq and almost worth the asking price .. the compressor on the other hand isn't so great imo
the G channel and the SSL EQ are the pick. the bottom end boost of the eq is sublime

Cytomic The Glue does a better job with the G buss compressor. They are good, but I don't know if I prefer them to UAD or SSL Duende. I like their API collection better actually.

It's funny you put it that way. (unless I'm missing your sarcasm) The Analog button on those plugins does just that... it adds white noise. It's super low level tho..

I liked them when I tried them tho.

Love em'. Used a real SSL bus comp, and waves gets really close.
