I've demo'd it too and love the sounds, they are solid. I keep forgetting to buy it though...

You could also take a look at magical8bit.

It has served my 8-bit audio needs as well as I've needed it to, and it's free!

A quick mp3 I made for an 8-bit-looking Flash game styled after Dance Dance Revolution using only magical8bit and a couple of Redux'd drum loops.

cool track! :)

I had magical8bit when i was on windows and its cool but now i use YMCK(i think thats what its called)

The thing i like with chipsound is the fact that it emulates so many chips and even the SID which is great cuz i dont wanna have a piece of hardware with me everywhere i go... and they seem to be cool ppl with a cool EULA...

Hell yes I've been using this!
With this I could behave like a chiptune snob without having to mod snes-es and Gameboys :)

Seriously, YMCK is very very very good, but it takes more work and knowledge to make it work for you.
Plogues presets are the best!

And for 50 euro's this was a no brainer for me. (I think that was the introduction price)
Can I raise a practical question at this point? Are we gonna do "Stonehenge" tomorrow?

I really want to like it.

But the interesting waveforms can't be messed with by an amp envelope. I REALLY wanted to like it, too.
