Yes, a big one !!!
2.4 has only 8MB cache, while 2.8 has 12MB cache.
Lot better performance if you go with 12MB cache...!

Oh, Well if i got an i5 with a 2.4 processor would it be able to handle a lot going on ableton or is there really a big difference, and worth getting the 2.8?

i don't think so, stick with the 2,4Oh, Well if i got an i5 with a 2.4 processor would it be able to handle a lot going on ableton or is there really a big difference, and worth getting the 2.8?
have you checked live performance test topic ? you should get a good clue of the difference in performance..
A friend of mine has the 2,4 I5 macbook pro, that score 40%, my core duo 2 2,4 macbook pro score 50%
and i've seen,that 2,66 core I7 macbook pro score 33%
so....i think you can expect something like 30% with the 2,8 core I i think....
it's up to you to see ift's worth it..
