adding silence to samples.
are their any pc programs that would allow me to add a short silence to the begining of a sample, preferable letting me batch process a whole bunch of samples?

Re: adding silence to samples.
I know Audition can, using batch processing and scripting.
Googling for a free alternative shows that Audacity also has a batch processing tool, don't know how it works though. It's worth investigating.

Ableton Live perhaps?
CMD + Drag all your samples into arrange view. (to get them vertical)
Drop samples as far from the "0" position as you need to add as much silence as you need.
Select a box from the "0" position to your samples. (select all your samples to do all samples at once)
Hit CMD+j to consolidate.
Voila, silence added to the beginnings all your clips! (If your clips are of different lengths, you may have to re-consolidate a few if some get cut in half.)
