from this link, I understand there's a "Real Time Universal System Exclusive Message" that can be sent do define the time signature:

I've tried to change time signature in Live (in clip, in arrangement view... wherever I could) and monitored Live's output with MIDI-OX. I've never seen any time signature message...
I've done sth similar with RoseGarden on Linux with no luck.
So my questions:
- does this type of message really exist??
- is Live supposed to emit them
- if not, can you recommend a sequencer that does send time signatures?
