Who saw Tron?

Post by beats me » Fri Dec 17, 2010 5:47 pm

How much did it suck?

Here's my review without even seeing it. Best used for VJ footage at a club or put on in the background while you play better music. Beyond that, nothing.

It's being widely reported that the storyline and dialogue are stupid and slow and that it rips off a ton of concepts from SciFi classics.

I'm just curious if this new director can knock Michael Bay off the top of the shit heap because that's a tall ladder to climb. He's also slated to do a remake of The Black Hole, another classic Disney fail.

I saw it today and it blows chunks. My hot farts are actually more interesting. Just a lot of noise and CG overkill. Plot, dialog and overall feel stinks. Acting is marginal. This one will be in the retail DVD rack pretty quick I suspect. Such a shame considering what could've been done with this. The original was better. :?

Just saw it.

I quite liked it. It took the original and brought it onto a greater scale.

Daft Punk tunes were decent too. Gotta say I did not hear one track without an arpeggiator.

Saw it opening day and enjoyed it.

It's visually and sonically pleasing. Eye and ear candy. Simple as that.

Has anyone seen the first Tron lately? It was pretty fucking hokey. I still love the damn thing, but the plot was crap.

Anyone who walked into Legacy expecting a better, deeper, mind-blowing plot was inevitably going to be disappointed.

I walked in with realistic expectations, so I was entertained.

That said, I do like the first one better.

The more I started seeing Trailers the more I knew it would suck, but I thought the visuals would at least be cool to watch. Instead, the movie was a cluttered mess of a composition, and the story line was a grab bag of bull shit where nothing seemed connected. None of the characters had much weight in their motives, and many of the scenes seemed an irrelevant wast of time.

It was better than Indiana Jones 4 but not as good as Tranformers.
