Things you want to see explained/worked through in video?
Gents!
I'm just nutting out some of the content which is going to appear in my next Groove3 video series. It's going to be a tips and tricks one, spread out over certain categories and probably over a few releases.
I've got a bunch of stuff already written down to do, but I'm always interested to hear what you guys would like to see explained via video... any techniques, tips, tricks etc. Please try and be specific, as "making my track warm/beats phat" is pretty vague.
For those not familiar with the other videos, I've just finished off the "Producing House With Ableton Live" trilogy, which were all extremely well received. Thanks to all you legit purchasers

So feel free to respond to the thread, PM me or whatever. If I use your example, I'll try and give you some kudos in the video as well
Cheers,
Tim
Edit: While I'm shamlessly whoring links around, I should mention that I also offer tutoring for Live/EDM in general. Check out the More section of http://www.mixplant.com

Indeed you will!
It just means that thanks to you, I am that much closer to not paying my mortgage each month, and I get to watch myself get skinnier and skinnier and observe my children and wife slowly starve to death.

joking of course, but if I ever wanted a broke ass buddy to sing the blues with, with a bottle of whisky lifted from a cheap and nasty liquor store and a one eyed, three legged dog and an ancient guitar with 3 strings missing in a creaking deserted barn, you'd be right up there

OT: Women.
Why do they need so much time & attention? Is there a shortcut for this?
Why are they always doing things? Constantly getting things done. And how are they immune to television?

Ummm, the videos are going to be on Live.
I'm waiting for the blu-ray explanation edition on women to come out.

Without knowing much about that synth, from a quick look at the controls I'd say you just need something more general on synthesis *ahem* - seriously though, most of those sections are pretty standard on a synth, if you know what everything is doing and why then it's just a case of finding where everything is.funken wrote:ACE
an in-depth tutorial, a proper full coverage. There is a short one knocking about but I still barely understand anything much
Sorry to hijack there Tim. Unfortunately I can't offer you any suggestions, Im in the same boat trying to work out my own next title.
The competition is just too fierce among Groove3 authors.

- The proper way to use a side-chained compressor.
- How to do a remix.
- How to clean up a project to send to a collaberator.
- Basslines, how to be big without being over-powering.

didn't know you did this tim, will def check it out.
as far as suggestions how about the difference between
a remix, an edit, a mix, a live pa, a blend, a compilation, and a cover, and an original composition.
it would prob be your biggest seller cause artist just do not know.

Nothing to see here - move along!
