RIP LoopStationZebra
Well that's that. Our offical Apple ambassador to The Lounge has gone to the great server in the sky.
Who will remix a dub step version of Danny Boy for our fallen comrade?

I'm going to wait for David to "just to clarify" before I chime in here.
Re: RIP LoopStationZebra
I noticed a couple posts he wrote calling people "whinny sissy bitches" or some such were missing the next day. I hadn't seen anything from him since then and I suspected he got the boot.
I mean, being booted from the forum isn't like the end of the world or anything, not even close- but seriously, all that fussing over a silly face?
Surely there are better issues to take a stand on Loopz?
All the best to you either way.

Re: RIP LoopStationZebra
Doesn't seem to be banned.
You can PM his nick, he's not banned.
No drama here, just an observation.

You're a pretty mean spirited person under that nice guy routine it seems.alex.the.forge wrote:ah, that's why he turned up at Neb's forum!

erm… how do you figure? He did turn up at Neb's forum shouting his mouth off about how he was going to test the "unmoderated" bit, and I am surprised it took them this long because of the way he carried on….. that's mean spirited how?Machinesworking wrote:Doesn't seem to be banned.

You had no idea if he's banned, but you're already agreeing with 'the ban'.erm… how do you figure? I call that mean spirited, not hard to figure out why.
It's not just you, I'm disgusted by pretty much anybody who gloats in any way about banning's.
And before you try to say you're not emotionally invested let me remind you by underlining your spin here.
And let me remind you, he's not banned from what I can tell, he can still be PM'd.

Yes, LoopStationZebra has been banned.
Re: RIP LoopStationZebra
^^and why all of a sudden, pray tell?
or is that none of our business?

Re: RIP LoopStationZebra
I don't understand either.
While I held sympathy for most of the moderation, keeping law and order in a commercial forum and all, now I'm perplexed.
LoopStationZebra contributed a lot of helpful information to this forum and kept most of his jokes in the Lounge.
Even some of my posts have been deleted, and I'm not even part of the whole crude-humor-posse, I can't even remember posting anything that could have been interpreted as offensive, I'm a friendly person enjoying the weird-but-within-reason sorts of jokes in the off-topic area and otherwise tries to learn and contribute in the serious parts of this forum. So what gives?

Re: RIP LoopStationZebra
LoopStationZebra was banned after repeated requests to stop trolling behaviors.
Re: RIP LoopStationZebra
ah.
well if you ask me his "trolling" behavior has not changed much over the last couple of months,
so either he should have been banned a long time ago, or he should still be here.
if you cannot trust grown ups to have a pretty nifty version of it inside their heads,
then why not give this forum an ignore button?
then
you find it funny = fair enough, there's probably more coming
it offends you = away he/she/it goes
some sort of user centric moderation,
personalised bannings, everyones his own mod. sounds very web something-point-other to me
is that none of our business?
oh right: it's abletons business. business as in making money....
fair enough. good luck with that!

Re: RIP LoopStationZebra
does seem a little odd... I am relatively new to the forum thing so, although I can spot the blatantly banworthy trolling (read: dum) I have trouble discerning the line. I feel like we didn't finish our M4L argument adequately so RIP indeed, although now I win said argument, right?
