problem with sample playbacks

for some reason, when playing back a song i made, just one sample chops unless it is highlighted......does anyone have this problem??

What are you talking about? Be more descriptive. The word chop can mean anything.

chops as in skips, kinda like a cd skipping, it will play like 1/2 sec worth of each sample
say this is the sample
in a a moderate tempo of 160
---- - - - - -
the first four dashes simulate how close the sample is to one another
as you can see the first four are closer say 1/16th notes and the other 1/8th
it is hesitant to start the samples and also cut them off quick also...does that make sense
