Simple question-extending length of sample in clip?

Post by mbira » Thu Jan 27, 2011 12:24 pm

Hi folks,
I can't figure this out: I have an audio sample that is 4 measures long. I want to make the clip 5 measures long, and copy the first measure to the 5th measure. I want to achieve this without using follow actions, etc. How do I copy and paste a piece of an audio sample?

err....

I'm not trying to copy a clip, I have a clip that has a sample in in. The sample is 8 bars long. I want that sample to be 9 bars in length, so I want to copy one of the bars of the waveform and copy it at the end (basically like how you can select midi notes and command"D" and duplicate the notes...

The easiest way to do this is in Arrangement view. Drop the clip in there, duplicate it, then trim the second instance of it down to the part you want. Select both clips, consolidate, and bring it back into Session view.
