Hi!
ok with the joke, ; )
but....
Do you really think you can control ableton better with maschine than apc?
Because...that the thing....
Or,...
Is maschine, in general, better than ableton?
I think, maschine is a good complement to ableton. But (again):
Whats THE device to control ableton ?????

For me, it's an APC40 with the nativeKONTROL scripts. The only thing I miss are motorfaders.esteban2010 wrote:Whats THE device to control ableton ?????
Never tried Maschine, seems to be a great thing for the beat-makers out there, but controller-wise, I can't imagine it could be anywhere near as sturdy and comfortable as my APC is right now.
Re: The CEO of AKAI after Maschine 1.6 beta release
APC40 is probablty the best off the shelf option there is still (for a practical single units - so I dont count combo of novation zero + lp as its a horrible on mess stage) - that doesnt mean I actually think its well thought out or couldnt have been tons better - especially for the silly money it costs (yes I have one).

Could you please explain nativeKontrol scripts, how it changes the performance of the APC and the benefits of those changes. Sorry, I'm a little out of the loop apparently. Thanks.MPGK wrote:For me, it's an APC40 with the nativeKONTROL scripts. The only thing I miss are motorfaders.esteban2010 wrote:Whats THE device to control ableton ?????

Not to diminish the joke, but the APC40 always worked perfectly for me. Is this not the case for everyone?Khazul wrote:Nope - that was after realising what a fukup the APC was.
Professional Shark Jumper.

Re: The CEO of AKAI after Maschine 1.6 beta release
Maschine is definitely not about trying to compete with the APC40 as a Live controller.esteban2010 wrote:Do you really think you can control ableton better with maschine than apc?
The whole of Maschine itself is a viable alternative to Live's session view as a production and live performance tool. It has some key advantages in that you can actually record realtime automation to clips and do things like looping multiple scenes and having a completely mouse-free workflow. One thing it doesn't have yet is built-in timestretch but that has become less of an issue now that it hosts plugins.
