Switching over from PC to Mac

Post by tfrost1988 » Sun Feb 13, 2011 7:35 pm

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro 13" and I want to take everything I'm working on from my PC and put it on my mac. I tried just saving my ALS files to a flash drive and transferring them over but alot of samples were missing. How do I transfer not only the als files but the samples as well?

If it were me, I would open up my project in the PC and choose "Collect All and Save". Then, "Manage Files", "Manage Project", under "Packing" choose "Create Live Pack". Save the pack somewhere other than the project file. You could even save it to your flash drive. Once all that is done, go to the Mac and drag the Live Pack (.alp file) into Live. Then Save As. Do that for each project you want to bring over to the Mac. Hope this helps.
