List of non midi-mappable GUI components of Live 7 and 8

Which GUI components are you aware of which can NOT be midi-mapped in Live 7 or 8? Having such a big list in one glance would be interesting to find out if there is anything important which still can not be midi-mapped, for external control via midi controllers.

There are obviously a lot of them... The most glaring omition in my mind is that Undo and Quantize are not midi mappable. However, there is a workaround.. If the command atleast has a keybinding shortcut, you can use Bome's midi translator (free edition) to turn it into a midi mapping.

So it's atleast something that can be reconciled with a roundabout solution.

Live 7, here the parameters I wished they were midi-mappable:
1. Midi-port selection
2. Midi-channel selection
3. Program change selection
4. Sub-Bank selection
5. Bank selection

In short having the possibility to change to any sound on any of your synthesizers, mainly hardware synths. Each of the above 5 parameters should be mappable as is possible for scene selection, meaning in dual way, up/inc-mapping and down/dec-mapping.

Imo this is one of the most basic functionality: Sound selection.

How do you change midi port and midi channel with dummyclips? I want 9 midi ports and 16 midi channels, in any combination, anytime choosable, as I wish, never using a mouse, only via midi events control.

I thought you meant sending pcm's on different midiports and channels.
What exactly do you wish to accomplish? If you want to send midi to hardwaresynths on different midiports and channels you could midimap the recordenablebutton on multiple miditracks outputting to different midiports and channels.
