it can be a major pain in the ass, the way i do it right now is to warp the original track first. try to find a vocal bit on a kick at the start of a bar on the acapella, if you know the bpm, you should be able to put it into "seg bpm", although sometimes (actually, a hell of a lot of the time) live doesnt let me do this (bad mood, time of the month) so i usually hafta do it manually every few bars....
screw this how the hell do you warp and acapella?! :lol:

tap a midi keyboard into a midi clip to whatever beat you feel from the accapella (with quantize switched off of course!).
Then go back and adjust the tempo to fit the midi clip.

Over a few minutes of track your mistakes should average out to a pretty accurate tempo, once thats done, program some basic drums and do some fine tuning to the accapella tempo assumption and you should be done.
