Request M4L chord app
Request M4L chord app
Hello,
can you tell me if there is an application for m4l and launchpad
that allows me to play chords?
I try to explain with image
to the left there are alterations(C is only example)
on the right the chord to play.
English is not my language I hope I explained

That shouldn't be to tough to make as you have it there. there are a whole lot more possibilities for chords than you have there though. I made a chord effect that makes sound based on the root played to the track, but not that you have diagrammed.
Again, you should give it a shot, it is a reasonable first patch if you are good with music theory.

you maybe should add some buttons for chord inversions as well. But then you have to hit three buttons, which is basically the same as playing a chord
Re: Request M4L chord app
the knowledge I have of music theory is very low and I needed a program just like to 'compensate' for this lack.

You definitely don't need MFL for what you're trying to do. You can do this all with MIDI Effect Racks. You remap a button (note) from the Launchpad to a specific chord, using the Key Zone Editor in a MIDI Effect Rack.urbansm wrote:the knowledge I have of music theory is very low and I needed a program just like to 'compensate' for this lack.

Re: Request M4L chord app
for other options you should also check out some monome apps like mtn's 7 up ( has a melodizer ) and stretta's polygome. you can grab a monome emu for your launchpad. def not for the faint of heart though.

Re: Request M4L chord app
if you get your head around monome applications and what they actually do etc, then you probably don't have issues making up chords on your own.
Then again, maybe the monome applications open a door to the whole harmonical universe. Probably they do.
