Saw trailers..looking nice movie..In this movie,Sam Bell has a three year contract to work for Lunar Industries. For the contract's entire duration, he is the sole employee based at their lunar station. His primary job responsibility is to harvest and periodically rocket back to Earth supplies of helium-3, the current clean and abundant fuel used on Earth. There is no direct communication link available between the lunar station and Earth, so his only direct real-time interaction is with GERTY, the intelligent computer whose function is to attend to his day to day needs.

Main theme from Clint Mansell's awesome soundtrack can be heard here: http://www.myspace.com/clintmansell - first track: Welcome to Lunar Industries. The soundtrack really contributed to making this a great film - worth a listen.

Not sure how big of a distribution it got. But well worth tracking down if you like thoughtful sci-fi along the lines of lines of Bladerunner (in terms of concepts rather than action)...

Yeah, think it might be tricky to catch in the cinemas though, unfortunately...

Lots of small releases for festivals, but not much on full nationwide releases (I saw it a festival, would jump at the chance to see it again).

Love that film... saw it on the theatre and just watched it again the other night. It's available on Netflix streaming!

I think it was directed by David Bowie's son?
