"INSERT CAPTURED SCENE" but keep the original clips playing?

like if i have 5 or 6 variations of a clip on the same track.

I get some ideas together and jam them, and want to create scenes 'below' these, but when i create captured scenes it automatically switches to these new scenes and i loose my bearings on the clips i was jamming.

It would be nice to "INSERT CAPTURED SCENE" but keep the original clips playing not start the new scene.

it could be done with a modifier like (ALT)ctrl-shift-i
