Re: Studio One for $30 No Brainer
Studio One is really rather awesome.
Give it a go. Its like a breath of fresh air.
(And there really isn't much to learn - its so well designed)

Re: Studio One for $30 No Brainer
I heard that a lot, which was why I was so surprised to find it so uninspiring once I bought it. Shame.
Re: Studio One for $30 No Brainer
I got it nearly 2 months ago with my FireStudio Mobile... I have not even opened it once
I suppose I should give it a go except it looks like a cut down version of GarageBand which is what I am rocking these days.

Some of these "no brainer" deals turn out to be more like the small print on the back of credit card offers.

Re: Studio One for $30 No Brainer
At that price, it's worth it for the mastering suite alone.

IK Multimedia's T-Racks 3 Classic Compressor...
with sidechain and highpass filter ... its a hardwired so you cant sidechain the HPF and let the bass drum clear some room for itself in a compressed bassline etc.
No Brainers is not so cools.

Re: Studio One for $30 No Brainer
They were cool at first, but definitely getting a lot more restrictive now. Still, 230 for Studio One Pro is a good deal if someone wants a new DAW.
