"Renoise"?

Sounds like a term for the act of making a really bad remix ;)

Hello,
Yeah, was playing with the 2.7 beta today. Very good stuff, never been a heavy Renoise user but the slicing and keyzones are fantastic additions. Renoise hosts VST's in Rewire slave too. ;)
Cheers,
Dean

It rocks. Been using Renoise for a while now, and 2.7 is a great update with some much needed enhancements to the sampler (zones, mainly).

My only problem is just having too many great tools for making music. Renoise really does make you approach sequencing in a totally different way, which usually means different kinds of results, and that's always a good thing. But how to incorporate my work in Renoise, Live, Cubase, Maschine etc all into one workable flow??? that's the real problem.

but Renoise is super fun and I like it, even if the stuff I build in there never really shows up in any of my "real" songs....someday...

I love Renoise.

I started making music on Fastracker (MS-DOS) in the mid 90s - so for me, Renoise is a glorious combination of old-school nostalgia and bang up-to-date functionality.

The 2.7 update is great - beat slicing and better sampler tools has made it into something more like a mega-sampler with a tracker attached.

The Renoise built-in FX are great too. I never use plugins with it.

I started out on Fasttracker as well. Dunno if I'd want to go back to that though ;)

MOdplug tracker is free if you wanna try the renoise style ;)

I'm astonished no more live users know about renoise... a brilliant software for less than 100$

The new slicing is amazing in how elegantly it's implemented and how much fun it is to play with. The automapping of slices to qwerty keys is brilliantly done. It makes the editor so much faster to use. Renoise is a beast with all these amazing updates one after another. And now they have the guy behind dBlue Glitch. 8O

I use Renoise from V1.9, and it's getting better and better with each new version. Regarding V2.7, I'm totally in love with the new sampler!
I heard that Micah Frank is considering porting some of the Puremagnetik libraries to Renoise. If it's true it would be awesome!

never used renoise but judging by screenshots i'd stay away. the gui definitely doesn't inspire
me to try it out. seems too busy with small, cluttered parameters.
