East/West Sound Modules Misbehaving in Live 8

Post by Sphinx » Mon Mar 21, 2011 10:35 pm

To preface: I LOVE the East/West (Play) Library, and have ten of the modules. I'm running XP2/Dual-Core PC with 4GB Ram, with the latest update of Live. Here's the deal...

IF I start a Live project using just instances of East/West as VSTs, everything goes smoothly. BUT - say I have eight instances of Play instruments/tracks, then introduce an instance of say (in particular) a Spectrasonics (particularly Omnisphere), then try to introduce ANOTHER Play instrument - I get NO sound out of that additional Play instrument. I can see that it's receiving MIDI data, it's just not outputting.

Also - sometimes it also causes the previous Play instruments not to play as well. I'm not coming anywhere near pegging the CPU use when this occurs. All other VSTs (Arturia, Korg, Jamstix, BFD, etc.) seem to get along well - it's only the East/West.

Thanks for any insight on this!
