I am using Dropbox as well, syncs my files with different machines.

You can expand your storage up to 8 GB with a simple trick. ;)

Its good that you can set passwords and permissions on the folders... Plus theres public links and the like...

The only thing missing for me is something like rapidshare used to do that showed how many downloads have been made....

I'm a dropbox user who would definitely like more space. What is the trick that you're talking about?

I love dropbox, its really great for colabs too. Collect and save and its like your both working on the same machine anywhere in the world. The other cool thing is it saves version / deleted files. So if you accidently delete a nice little sequence in your project and dont relaise until a week after its gone you can get it back again, magic!

What issues have you been having? I have found it bullet proof so far and worth the price for 50gb.

p.s. I am not sponsored by DB :)

People who joined could remove files without thinking and therefore stop others getting at them, for collabs and share its ok i suppose but rubbish if your using it to distribute files that you want to retain control of!

For people with Macs, it might be worth waiting a couple of weeks for the Mobile Me relaunch to see what it has to offer.

They are dropping the $99 yearly subscription and making it free.

Well, it is not fair practice against the dropbox team, but with a little effort you could get up to 8 Gb: Set up a virtual machine with a MAC-adress changer inside, then install a drop box from your referal link, get 250 MB for free, deinstall, change MAC-adress and same game from the start.

But as I said, not recommended... ;)
