OT: Cycling ... as in... riding bikes... as in... bicycles
Re: OT: Cycling ... as in... riding bikes... as in... bicycles
After all that pedicab work, I'd think the last thing you'd want is a new bike!

Thanks. It's a lovely frame.savyurrecords wrote:Aquatek. Nice frame. well, the colors leave a bit to be desired.
BTW looks like Shimano 600 series. I have them on my old Cannondale that I strap a kid's seat onto so I can ride with my daughter. Nice components from back in the day.
The groupset is actually shimano 105. A step down from 600, but still a pretty solid mid-range group.
And as for the colors... dude... are you kidding? It's my favorite thing.
So early 90's

I'm doing a "trial run" tomorrow at a local bike shop, for a possible part-time job. WUT
We'll see how it goes.

Good luck, make sure you can build a bike quick, that's usually how they test you. My best friend is the lead service guy for Performance Bikes, that's how they test all new hires.

Thanks!
Well... it seems like I'm hired. They said they'll make it official if I survive working the rest of the week.

Ordered myself a new bike today. This one. Find the white tires very gay.
One speed and back-pedal brake.

WOW the NYC 5-boro tour sucked.
should've called it the 5-boro oversold traffic jam walk-your-bike-a-thon.
Awful. We decided not to finish it and just make our own route.

Horrible. We spent an hour standing on the BQE before we could get to an exit and bail.aqua_tek wrote:WOW the NYC 5-boro tour sucked.

Over here in Berlin, currently in training for the Velothon - hey, pop over and take part!
Met up with a new race training group yesterday, just for a short 60-70km spin, but should've realised something was awry at the start when I saw that my bike was about €5000 cheaper than the average of the group. Coughed up a lung taking the front for one lap, got slowly but surely dropped on the return leg. Arse!

one of my friends did a triathlon on a flat bar fixed gear and placed lol..
he said all the people with thousands of dollars of gear wear getting pissed at this guy on a steal framed fixed gear smoking them lol..
the funnest one was when he passed a dude like he was standing still and the guy was all decked out with an aerodynamic helmet.
my friend used to be a bike messenger, and is currently a pedicabber and has always been a bike commuter
