Looking for quality one shot house drum samples.

Post by interceptor » Sun Apr 03, 2011 8:51 am

Im mainly making house with the good old roland tr samples. Aiming for an old school sound. But I´m thinking to try a more polished or updated sound. What are the killer sample collections out there?

I might add that I´m more into the deep/underground sound of house.

the d16 group has incredibly great 909, 808 and 606 emulations...

Try the deadmau5 Xfer sample pack or the Thomas Penton drums for a more polished / updated sound ;)

Yes, I have all the Roland sounds I need.

Im not so good at explaining so here´s a couple of tracks which shows some of the drum sounds I´m after.
I guess I´m looking for a more organic sound. Something like this:

Omar - Feeling You (Henrik Schwarz Remix

Discreet Unit - Shake Your Body Down (Original Mix)

Goldbaby is very cool, I will look into those Thomas Penton drums, thanks

gold baby is good but as you are happy with your old hits and want something more polished i would strongly advise vengeance.de as nearly all pro house/dance producers own them and use then alot. they're polished as fuck :!: (too polished for some)

however if your into the deep stuff samplemagic.com are of good quality although a bit more loop based they still have lots of one shots.

I really like the Deadmau5 Xfer pack too. It leans towards techno but there are a lot of good sounds in there, particularly the kicks. I also recommend Joey Youngman's Jacked Out Future House pack, if you're making funky house, since it's geared towards that specifically.
