Urs from U-he has been working on a new FREE synth, Tyrell.

have to check it out - Urs stuff is great !

<edit> just downloaded the alpha - sounds massive as expected. really thick sounding osc´s and cool gui... it hits my cpu very hard but i am having a good time on it :)

Any oNot sure which thread you are referring too. I dont see any of them about Tyrell that are 18 pages long? Whats the title of the Thread, there are 2 discussing it, but I have not seen any links.

immediately made my set crash when i rescanned my vst folder....not sure why that happened. will try out the next version i suppose.

EDIT: I am on 8.2

sign in, go to Forum, and then there's a special subforum dedicated to the plugin (labeled "Tyrell Betatest"). i'm guessing the version released on the 25th is the most recent one

I skimmed through that giant linked thread, as far as I could tell this beta software is very beta. Urs talks a lot about unoptimized code that will eat all your CPU, and inevitable bugginess. So be aware what this is, it's unfinished and beta.

All true.. However still awesome sounding as is. And causing zero problems stability wise here on my macbook 2.4 dual intel Live 8.2.1..
CPU hit is huge atm.. but this will be optimized.

hmn still got that buggy GUI with the VST running in Live... the component doesnt show any GUI at all :(

Hope Urs is going to fix that - otherwise its a very sweet sounding synth that i would love to get more into...

VST gui problem wwas fixed here. Looks perfect now.
