Skinny Puppy started in Vancouver, that's a win in my book.

Sure, but not a Canadian invention.

From Wikipedia's Hockey page:
"A game played on ice with a curved bat and a ball existed before Ice Hockey in the form of Ijscolf, or Colf on ice, which was a popular game in the Low Countries between the Middle Ages and the Dutch Golden Age."

The Low Countries are basically where Belgium and Holland and bits of Germany and France are and this predates Canada's claim by about 500 years, give or take a couple hundred years.

:x

Alright. It's time to officially listen to Skinny Puppy for the first time. Really. They've just gone under the radar for all these years. Where's a good place to start?
