Yeah, cool. I'm still wondering just what kind of control messages are being sent to the plugin. ??? I've just done a Google and fucking NOTHING is revealed.

Tarekith is right...MAGIC. 8O

Question: Is the communication bi-directional? When you make changes to the plugin, is that reflected on the iPad screen?
I came for the

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to set up some sort of packet sniffer to see what was going on.

I don't have Omnisphere, or an iPad however. So for now I'll just go with "Magic".

Not that I've seen. I know $500 is not cheap, but it really is a steal considering what you get.

In a move that truly brought tears to my eyes because of it's selflessness, Art @ SyntheticBits has posted an amazing tutorial/road map to implementing CoreMIDI for iOS apps.

God Bless Him. GOD BLESS HIM.

Well it's been a long time since posting on iPad MIDI news but I just wanted to say that THE ALCHEMY MOBILE PRO VERSION IS FUCKING AWESOME.

The ability to control my Alchemy plugin on the MacBook is fantastic.

$14.

Well spent.

The dream I have is to show up at a gig with my Stick, an iPad, an interface, my SoftStep foot controller, and a smile on my face. I use a laptop because I fucking HAVE to - not because I want to.
But the laptop isn't very big compared to any of those other things. If you had a real keyboard controller (or two) in the list, then the laptop would probably seem like small potatoes. I like the ipad a lot for live shows, but for me it's more about the form factor, the fact that I can stick it on the surface of a keyboard magnetically, see the screen while the device is still thin/flat, that kind of thing. I don't think the actual size and weight is really such a big deal in the larger scheme of all the stuff that you have to haul to a gig.

but anyway: the particular app you are jumping up and down about  doesn't do anything interesting if there is no laptop/computer to sync up with.

So I can sync my mbp perfectly with a fucking phone over wifi, when I still can't manage it with another mbp, using midi or network cables?

Well that's just bloody brilliant.

iOS6 has utterly and completely broken the ability to link your iOS device to your laptop via an ad hoc network.

FFS.

:x

Various app forums are RIFE with bitching at this point. I only discovered it because I just recently upgraded.

iOS6....I do like quite a bit of it, but it sure as shit broke a lot of stuff; including some major Adobe product linkage that's a fucking DISASTER.

Apple. Assholes. ffs.

I believe the Lemur folks recently fixed the issue on their end with an update. ?

Have you updated the app recently?

:?:

Here's the issue showing up at the Konkreet Labs forum:
