Poster wrote: tell me.. you knew Live's audio quality isn't up to your standards since Live 1, yet you produced music with it, but you haven't rendered a single file since 2002 because you think Live's rendering stinks..
what exactly do you use Live for and why can't you just grab the audio files from the project folders and drag them into Logic and be done with it?
stupid question...
as expected, ignoring questions..
it's not a stupid question, rather painful..
you admitted you haven't rendered a single tune with Live since 2002..
you admitted you didn't like Live's sound quality since Live 1..
and you expect us to take your complaints serious?
you lost it buddy.. you talk so much that you're now starting to contradict yourself..
face it; you're a fanboi..
no ..you are just to stupid and small minded with your interpretations..eer heard about guys that own mixing desls that dont need to render in a shitty magix music maker app?
maybe you guys should get out of the ableton live trap aswell..just to widen the overtight horizon...

@robert
I personally find live sound engine totally ok,
howerver, would you admit that PDC and global compensation strategy in live has a severe impact on final tightness/quality?
im not especting you to say 'it will be fixed in L9', but can we espect live will have modulations, automations, and midi timing
properly compensated and readjusted when chain changes in a soon future, i mean PDC is there from 2005, we are in 2011,
that's quite a long time we wait..

Re: Audio Engine Test - Live Versus Pro Tools Versus Logic
i switched from Sonar to Logic... and I could tell that Logic has a better sound as far as loudness. Ive read people clowning that but its true, I have a Edirol Digital Mixer (M-16X)and i plugged it in and i needed no drivers or updated read everything (on IMAC g5). I just used the Ozone final mix, and im just saying... Sounded better than was i was using before for final mixes, im a permanant user of Logic now (for recording and mixing).

10 years from now the vintage “Ableton sound” will be done to death by pop music producers and users of other DAWs will be gumming up the forums asking how they can emulate it.
