Im living an Apocalipsis-like situation in my town-Volcanic

Post by Capitan Mission » Sat Jun 04, 2011 10:23 pm

Hi, Im living an Apocalipsis-like situation in my town, a lot of ashes are falling from the sky, the day turn night in 30 minutes, Earth shaking thunders. Te cause: A Volcanic Eruption in Chile, 90 km from my town (Bariloche, Argentinean Patagonia). Is awesome, and a little scary for the moment.

Thanks! I was thinking the same thing. These aren't normal thunders, are the product of the static energy in the great "Ash Clouds". But I dont have a field recorder, dammit!

I hope not! The thunders are massive! You cant go outside (the ash is very bad for eyes and lungs)

That's pretty crazy.

I've been through an volcano/ash storm a couple years back. They're impressive but that ash can really do a number on your lungs. Be sure to wear a respirator for the while. And put a nylon stocking on your air intake on your vehicle...

Take care.

Thanks for the advice, I will try to stay at home.

This does sound scary. How will you know if you need to evacuate?

As a fellow musician, I was sure you were going to say that the volcanic ash can really damage your music gear!!!

Lungs are pretty important I guess. :)
