Need a decent pair of headphones ... Recommendations please!

Post by mgpg » Sun Jun 26, 2011 2:02 pm

hi guys,

need a decent pair of headphones for listening, DJ'ing and producing.
budget: +- €200

i've read some of the buyer's guides online, but i would like some personal recommendations as well ...
thanks in advance!

and oh, it wouldn't hurt if the thing looked good as well ;)

EDIT: might wanna add I don't know anything about headphones, but I assume there must be different types of headphones, specifically for DJ'ing or listening, but I would like a pair that's suited for both, if possible.

I'm using AIAIAI TMA-1's. Very satisfied with the price point and they're extremely durable.

I was literally looking at those just a few minutes ago.
How about the isolation?

You ever tried a Sennheiser HD-25 ?
If so, how would you compare the two?

I actually own both. VERY comparable. What sets the TMA-1's apart for me is their durability, you can literally bend them and throw anything at them, and they hold up very well. Can't go wrong with either imo.

Alright, guess I'll test both models out and buy whichever one I prefer.
Thanks for your input!

Sennheiser HD 380 Pro has extreme isolation. In fact it can be a little fatiguing. But I always use low volume.

I'm looking into these Sennheisers ... can anyone tell me what the difference is between these three models:

HD-25 II http://tonecontrol.be/en/products/headp ... -hd-25-ii/
HD-25-1 II http://tonecontrol.be/en/products/headp ... d-25-1-ii/
HD-25-C II http://tonecontrol.be/en/products/headp ... d-25-c-ii/

the description is the same on all of them!
