There's an old saying - 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true'

It's too absurd to be true. "ultra-download"? Wholesale? Keep dreaming.

It is very most likely too good to be true especially with the amount of different software available. I have heard of companies buying the likes of 5000 digital license codes of MS Windows 7, for $25 each. The company then uses 3900 codes then some enterprising IT person sells the rest for a tidy profit. Of-course, still highly illegal! But tell me of a company who’s going to buy thousands of Live licences, cakewalk and…. ECT?

You can sometimes tell if they are not what they are by reading the small print as it will often say you can only get updates by downloading direct of their website. They normally they are very quiet on the subject of registering the software.

This site says: Yes you can. Our software is full and legal to upgrade unless it is mentioned in the instructions, which come with the software. You can also ask our Support team about exceptions.

So if its full software- then you would be able to upgrade and register. No exceptions.

Legitimate Exceptions would only be: student or employee and family versions.

Especially that the translation in french is very shaky!

"You save" they translated it to "vous enregistrez" litterally meaning "you record"

So if you buy live at 109$, you record 590$...

There was a thread about a similar site recently - these are all bogus. Selling Live or Suite at these prices would be a significant loss to the vendor. Like littlepig said, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

I've removed the link, as these sites generally try to load malware/spyware on all visitors. If you clicked through to the link, then it's a good idea to clear your cache.

Because it is easy to set up a web site. When one gets closed down these people just get another...

I am sure that big companies do something but they can't catch them all. As I said in my first reply you need to exercise a bit of sceptisism when you see an offer like that.

BTW I just got an e-mail from Gaddafi's wife (or one of them) she needs my help to get away from him and is willing to share some of her fortune...
