I really really dig Live interface and would be quite sorry if they were to change it. Of course customization options is always a must.

Live 9 will look like every other version of Live. It would be cool if they allowed you to do some extreme GUI changes, but no other DAW does that and Live has changed the least over the years out of all of them.

sorry that isnt right - reaper allows to extremely customize,
and 4version 4 ( in beta now ) has a tool called walter, there are
people posting gui´s like f.e. record for reaper that are amazing.

I love and use live - no problem to see
what others have. Since i dont think
feature race affects music and quality...

I don't need glossy gradient shading. I would like to be able to change highlight color and lightness/contrast of the greys.

What I would like to see is really very simple. Same GUI, just allow for all graphic parts to have less color sharing, that way fonts and other UI necessities aren't compromised when you use darker colors etc.
