RIP Plastic MacBook

Post by Hidden Driveways » Wed Jul 20, 2011 9:39 pm

:(
It is with great sorrow that I announce the death of the plastic MacBook. It was killed earlier today by a company called Apple.

What's all this smack talk about the white MacBook. Do you realize how many of those fuckers they sold? It was a huge hit.

Why?

Reasonably priced. Sexy. Rock solid performance. Glowing white logo.

Let's have no more of this trash talk.

:x
I came for the
But stayed for the :x

The plastic white Macbooks were never sexy. Ever.

That's Tarekith doing some serious shit talking and he never talks shit. I haven't seen him lose control like this since NI released yet another collection of vintage compressor emulations. :x

LOL, it just didn't fit in with anything else Apple makes lately in terms of aesthetics. Was pretty obvious they were going to target the Air's to the same sort of user.

Me too, it was my first Apple product. I use it mostly with Traktor scratch.
It is also running Lion now whilst my production machine is safe.

Anyway, it is not dead they are offering them to educational establishments.

I have one for work. I hate it. Wouldn't run Live on it mind, my Dell seriously outperforms it in that respect.

2007 2ghz core 2 duo here. Added more ram, a bigger hard drive, upgrade to Snow Leopard. Still kicking it.

I love the way the Airs look but they are too limited with storage in terms of what I need. Thinking about getting a 13" pro and swapping the optical for a small ssd with the OS and apps. But damn the Airs are good looking.
