What's front good for? Doesn't the full screen apps do that kind of thing? Pardon my ignorance, I haven't gotten into front row.beats me wrote:Me? Front Row is basically the Apple TV interface but on a Mac.
I've said countless times that the Plex interface is far superior to Front Row/Apple TV but it's open source and while some people think that equals great for me it equals buggy. I think every single update of Plex has been considered a beta. Perhaps to cover their ass?
These types of interfaces are great for video but SHIT for music. If you have a large collection of music it's completely retarded that your only option is to scroll through it all. That's why I use a Mini for my media server, so I can use iTunes which is far better for music listening on the fly.

So have you installed it Beats?
I have it running on two machines now and have no issue but i haven't entered the world of production yet. That machine will stay untouched until all main parties are ready. Then I will see if 64 bit really is working. My other machines only have 4GB on them , my production i7 iMac has 8 GB

No, I haven't got it yet. But I saw that Plex just released an update for Lion to make it compatible and add new features. This might push me to update this weekend on my Mini because no Front Row put the kibosh on that idea, but now that Plex is about the only player in town they're probably making stability a big priorty because so many people who hestitated in trying Plex before or gave up after a few glitches will no longer have Front Row as a backup plan. This is a big win for Plex.Rave wrote:So have you installed it Beats?

I've tested the new OSX Lion at a local Apple Reseller...I don't know about you guys, but I'm not that impressed.
