On the front page of Ableton.com it says the Lion fix for Live is coming "soon".

That was posted about five weeks ago. I think this could tell us a little something about Ableton's time perspective, at least on some matters.

This bug fix program could go on forever if ALL bugs are supposed to be ironed out.

Er.. Never had problems recording midi in session view and if you get max for live you get lfos and about 5 million other modulators.

Bezier curves, fine. But more improtant for me is Automation delay compensation. After all, without that your bezier curves are woefully inaccurate anyway on anything that uses PDC.

well, to be fair, they already have a beta out that works with lion, and have for a few weeks.
But you're right, since they haven't made it official yet, makes you wonder what they are waiting for.

Perhaps they're waiting for Cycling '74 to do something with Max that they're coordinating.

It has been too long...

Has anybody been thinking about switching to another DAW? Studio One looks interesting.

it is best that ableton take their time with live 9... just imagine with live 9 having to deal with 2.5 years of dealing with bugs...

i hate to be self-centered... but... just make live 9 64-bit and works with east/west's play, kontakt 4/5, specstrasonic suite... and i will be a happy camper...

IMHO- I believe that Ableton are having financial difficulties or maybe their brain trust has left the building. These things that we're asking for are way over due. Every other mature DAW and plugin developer has kept up with technological advances. there's something fishy going on in Berlin.

This thread reminds me of "Tracktion" on KVR. Makie has sat on this one for years, but still have a web site as if they where still developing the app. Its still very difficult to get any answers from Makie. Hmm! seems familiar.

Hahahahaha come on guys. Ableton is far away from Tracktion destiny. Beside that once when they announce 9 and clean the floor with options i am sure you will all forget this silly threads..

9 month is close
