Come on now. Griid is pretty great with that midi editor. All the step sequencing you ever need. Right there, written directly into clips.
As for standalone music production, it doesn't get much better than Beat Maker 2. However it is totally sample based. If you really want a synth, nanostudio is pretty cool. I can't get over having separate audio files for separate apps though so I haven't built up a good library yet for either one.

Okay, fine. Griid as well.
Don't care for beatMaker2 or NanoStudio, though.

So far, my favorite noisemaking app is still the Moog Filtatron...Like to see them step it up to an IPhatty.
The Tenori is fun, but the bottom controls are a little too fiddly to make me love it unconditionally.
Still got to get an IO dock...
No...I am 3phase!

There needs to be a moratorium on zombie apps. It’s always been the premise of the lazy horror film writer and now it’s getting out of control on apps.

VAMPIRES are first and foremost the premise of lazy horror film writers. Just wanted to set the record straight.

I’d like to see a televised open topic discussion between Woz and Joe Biden. EPIC.

For DJing, the best I've found is djay, it's surprisingly got a lot of nice features and works great with the griffin DJ splitter cable. Still not going to replace my regular DJ set up or anything, but for having fun at a friends house or something, it works really well.
Nanostudio is my vote for the best DAW style app too.

Let's not forget Angry Birds: DAW Edition.
