Post by footsy » Wed Aug 31, 2011 2:02 pm

I thought i'd try these out, anyone got anything helpful for me to learn how to use these?

I'm okay with ableton software, but any help you give me would be amazing. :]

Just download what you like -there are many free ones- and copy it inside the plug-in folders (Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST most probably on Macs).

Once you place them into that folder, restart Live and they should appear when you click the 'Plug-In Devices' button on the left.

Hope this helps!

Anymore helpful tips? I kinda got it figured out, but in reality. your putting effects onto the samples, this will make my music taste better. :P

No problem! Also VSTs are not only meant to be effects, they can be instruments too. There was a list with the top free plug-ins in music radar, it could guide you.
