Midi problems with BFD2

Hello, This is my situation when I open BFD2 in Live, I am allowed to control palettes and grooves. However when I try to just trigger single kit pieces I have to use my mouse because my controllers won't do it. I am using an Akai MPD26 and Axiom Pro 25, second gen. I tried midi learn and can see there is incoming signal, it just will not trigger. Since I can trigger grooves and palettes I feel I am close. Can any one please help. Thank you for your time. How have you applied midilearn: did you assign the kitpieces to the correct midinotes in BFD-miditab?
