"This is everything I downloaded" sounds like a pricey spree or is that free.

What was the point of your post again?

hahaha

Anyways, when I first started using Live, I went through a few of the free sonic academy tutorials on youtube. I actually found them quite helpful in terms of grasping a basic understanding of how Live itself works and what workflow I should expect. Having said that, Live is still about making music and you can't really formulate that. Sonic Academy is just a tool to help you understand some of lives capabilities, nothing more, nothing less.

off topic but
.. as far as I know "musicianship" is heavily based on learning and practicing patterns..

Oh absolutely, theory is extremely important of course. I'm just noting that these tutorials can only take you so far, at the end of the day it comes down to the individual and their musical aptitude. Someone might breeze through all the tutorials, but at the end of the day still not be able to put something cohesive together themselves. Works the other way as well, I know a few incredible musicians who are masters at playing their instruments, but also really struggle creating music themselves. But put a score in front of them, and they can nail it first time.

Yeah I have used it and it is great to learn the basics of Live as well as the genre's and see how people go about it. But at the end it is up to you and your creativity to develop something others will like, but a great start IMO.
