Automatically generate Drum Racks
I created an Adobe Air app that will analyze your sample library and automatically generate Drum Racks that loosely adhere to the GM2 percussion key map. Its great for building lots of new drum kits for your music. And its freeware.

Hey Roka, that's pretty interesting, is this something you continue to work on? Gonna try it out out of curiosity. Is the sample analysis to try and get the right drums mapped a big factor for this work? I mean as far as detecting kik, snar, hats, cymbals, perc. Is it just a matter of going by sample length and frequency or more than that?

You can find some use of these racks over at:
Ableton Artist Collaboration - Community Outreach Program
It would be real interesting though, seeing how you can apply these racks to what we already got. To witness how human creativity can propel a simple seed into great heights of sonic awesomeness.

Re: THE Rack List. (What can you do with Racks?)
I'm not sure if something similar was already posted or not, but I really like this 'smart' volume rack I made for my APC80.
It's pretty simple, just a crossing high and low pass EQ eight. It lets the mids out first, and then the highs and lows at the end. It sounds way nicer than using straight volume.

Not cool how this thread is becoming a place for people to advertise their blogs.
