Steve Jobs: February 24, 1955 - October 5, 2011
Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs, father of the Macintosh and the brains behind the wild success of the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, has passed away, Apple has confirmed to several news outlets, including CBS, and on its website. He was 56.

a real shame, the guy did some interesting stuff with his life and made a real mark.
