Firstly live won't scan them, it will lock up the program requiring reboot to free up Ableton, boot up, remove pref file in roaming...then I can load Ableton again without the vst custom folder.

Quick question re: already installed vsts, is it ok to move the .dll out of the main folders and then put them in the custom folders? Not tried this with any of them yet but wish I had installed every vst to one main folder >..<
