Ideas for a custom APC20 remote script

So, as you can see in my other topic (http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=158643) I've been fooling around with the remote script from the APC20, in order to get the Arm buttons having the shift mode and normal mode inverted. I could accomplish that thanks to Hanz Petrov's blog, and his sources of the APC20 scripts.

Seeing that he made an hybrid of APC20 and 40 scripts for the APC40, I had the idea of doing the opposite : pushing some APC 40 functionnalities to the APC20, like for example using the User 1 Bank as the "Device Control" section of the APC40.
I could directly put the tempo control with the Cue Level knob in the script, since I use it for that in my set.

Any other ideas ?

Device control would be the winner. Can you skip left amnd right through the devices or lock onto one on the APC20?

Not yet (no blue hand when you select a device). I guess if I do device control, I'll have to find a way to change the selected device with the APC too... Maybe re-assigning track selection to shift arm buttons and device selection with shift + left/right ?

Worth a go. now you've got the hang of the scripting i think the possibilities are there for you to explore.

Would it be possible to invert the line/columns of the live view with a custom script ?
I'd like to have 5tracks*8clips instead of 5clips*8tracks on the launch grid.Something like this setup:

(but here it seems that you can't use the up/down/right/left buttons to navigate through the clips)
