Getting arrangement into session view

Hi all.

I'm pretty new to Ableton Live (worked with Reason previously) - just finished my frist tracks with it and I realy love it =) I just have one problem/question I couldn't find anything about on the manual:
How do I get my arrangement into the session view with not too much effort?

I made my tracks on the arrangement view and would like to transfer into the session view for live performance. The only way I found so far is moving every signle clip from the arrangement to the sessoin view, however doing this on a 20-30min track is quite some work. So what I'm looking for is a kind of "copy to session view" function that just copies all my clips on the arrangement into the session view. Does such a function exist or do I need to copy every signle clip manually?

Try selecting all of the clips you want to put into the Session view and dragging-and-dropping them into Session (by way of pressing Tab while dragging them then drop them onto the appropriate session tracks.)

You can also check out the [shift] + [command] + shortcut. It will create a new scene containing all the clips that are playing at the moment. So if you are in arrangement view it will grab everything that is playing at the location where the cursor is right now and move it to a new scene in session view. Then you have to click the "back to arrangement" button again before using the shortcut for the next part of your song. Maybe this works faster for you than having to select everything. With this you just have to move the cursor there.

Why wouldnt your work be automatically shown in both "views?" Arent they just two interpretations of your palette?

Unfortunately, it doesn't work this way. If you create something new in either places, you have to "import" it to the other view mode.
