Anybody using a ZEDR16 with Ableton?

I'm trying to work it all out and thinking that I shouldn't have bought it now.
I thought I would be able to send my hardware channels to my Vst effects, but can't seem to manage it.
Also when I have it going into Ableton, the faders are useless as the volume only works of the gain.
Anybody willing to share some tips?
