Thank you again, thanks all for your inputs and patience...

I would just put back in front my previous question : may I, with a nocturn, control separately each sample/midi from a launchpad during the live or I can just control globally ?

Knowing that yes, a APC 40 is arround 240$ now and the combo LP+Nocturn would cost 220$, what would you advise? Remember, I'm a newbee, so setuping the software with the hardware, parameters and so one are annoying for me, I m looking for fun quickly (kind of plug and play you see ;) )

Guyz,

In addition to my previous question, what about a maschine mikro compared to PAC 40 or launchpad&nocturn? I know it's a bit higher, but just what about? Is it just a advanced sampling tool or something that is completely better, do everything of an APC40 but in better?

Thanks,

Again, I complete my post, so I discvered that this is a mess to knobs with the mini, so let's forget about that...what I liked in the maschine mikro was the sampling stuff, so easy to use... but let's stick to our main subject and to my previous question about knobs functionalities with launchpad...

I've got the Launchpad+nanoKONTROL2 combo. Couldn't be happier, except if I just could save up for a Zero SL MkII ;)

The Launchpad may be complex, but when you figure out the control page setup you'll be able to do some fun things. It's not so hard to set it up as a simple step sequencer in Live, for example.

I got both so here's what I can say:

If you can afford apc40 price, you'll be super happy.
You got faders for levels, 3X8 sends controlers available
Blue hand really useful for controling devices [FX and instruments]
IN live performances, apc40 is all I need.
the big + for me about the apc40 is monome emulation.
Awesomely working as a monome AND as an apc40 thanks to the Monomulator from TrackTEAM AUDIO.
No MaxForLive required
Launchpad has some monome emulation with nonome [not M4L required] and one emulator in M4L,
but not so efficient as the monomulator.

Finaly, the size; winner is ... Launchpad!

I found a nice backbag where I can put my 17"laptop and apc40+Launchpad and external soundcard[saffirepro24DSP], before this purchase, carrying my live setup for gigs was true pain.

So if you fall for purchasing apc40, be sure finding a nive bag for carrying it.

Last thing to say;
Launchpad is a great device, portable and usb powered, small compared to the apc40.
you also have access to levels and send control but on another page, apc has direct access with faders and knobs.

I love turning knobs and moving faders

You can buy 2launchpads for less than the price of apc40.
in this situation you can have one for scene/clip launch and the other for controling levels or whatever you want.
there it becomes very cool and still very portable.

Hope it's gonna help you man.
Good luck and have fun
which monome patches are you running with your emulator?

Hi Guyz,

I'm still coming back with the same annoying question : could I manage with nocturn in realtime/live each sample (of the launchpad) individually, or nocturn is only used to tweak each sample before playing them?

Thanks,
