also there is a new support feature... if you're not using it right, the app sends you a bug report.

Thank gawd for that. I've been on board since version... three, I think... and I'm running out of piles of cash to keep forking over to stay up to date on the latest version -- and not always clear what it is I'm really paying for and getting in exchange.
A couple years' breather while they ensure that Live 9 has obvious value-add and genuinely new features which will have meaning and value to the vast majority of users (aka not just optimizations for dedicated hardware many of us don't use) can hardly be seen as a bad thing, can it? I mean, it isn't like we're sitting around waiting for Duke Nuke 'Em Forever or something. It isn't like you "beat" Live 8 and have nothing to do with your free time until 9 comes out, right? Are there huge, obvious gaps in the feature suite that make us so impatient for the next release? I've been using this program for many years now and I feel like I'm still just scratching the surface of what it can really do.

try pushing your track content above 200 tracks and see how convenient it is to work with.jhimm wrote:interpolate wrote:Given Ableton's track record, they do seem to be making us wait quite a bit longer then usual.

What on earth are you doing that requires 200+ track count? Are you using Live for Orchestral tracking or Film post production?friend_kami wrote:
