Both of us are using CamelCrusher (free plug) but when he sends me a track to collab it's showing "camelcrusher not found" - i could just drag it into the channel but that won't be the settings he used obv and we want to make the collab process seamless.
is there a simple way to steer the als to where the plug ins are stored for example?
anyone else encounter this issue?

By chance, could one of you be using it as VST, and the other person as AU? Or have one of you for some reason decided not to install either the AU/VST version?
