How can I map the start point of every simpler in one shot?
How can I map the start point of every simpler in one shot?
I'd like to map all 128 start points from each simpler in a drum rack to a macro in one go...is this possible? Thank you!
Re: How can I map the start point of every simpler in one shot?
no. you could....
1) put all of the audio you want in the drum rack into a single audio file - using consolidate on the arrange page if needed.
2) set the warp markers to where you want the audio to be split
3) create a drum rack preset that has start point mapped to a macro
4) slice the clip you made in step 2 using the preset you made in step 3
will this be quicker than doing 128 individual macro maps?... dunno

Re: How can I map the start point of every simpler in one shot?
I also tried doing this with just clips in a track....mapping the trigger, with the clip on gate, then I tried to assign the start point of all the clips to a single knob but i wasn't able to select it. this is really a work around for the feature i want most which would be...
128 songs loaded into the simpler or a chain...only start point of the focused simpler is effected when triggered.
Basically I just want to scan/scrub through several songs easily to audition new sounds. Is there a better way to accomplish this?

When you enter midi mapping mode youll see a field between the clip nudge left and right, mapped to a slider this is the scrub midi control if your looking to be able to skip through tracks, thats as i understood what you were asking?

BTW you know you may have a sound decay problem using long files in simpler ? Have you tried ?

OK, well...this original idea does work if you just use a Sampler and assign each song to a zone/note. Hrmmmm...which gives me the idea that I might as well leave a couple octaves open for transposing each tune. I need an intern!
It would be cool though if the start point only change when the sample was focused though...anybody else feelin' me?
